HILL TRACTS COFFEE DEVELOPMENT
The Hill Tracts area of southeastern Bangladesh has survived decades of conflict and suffered massive ecological damage due to destructive tobacco farming methods. Greentree Global provided an alternative income crop by improving coffee production. Through this development project we provided training and resources to assist with planting, growing, harvesting, processing, and marketing coffee, thereby fostering a profitable and sustainable coffee-based agricultural program in the Hill Tracts region.
